Age: 8 years
Adoption Fee: Donation (includes spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations)
Sherman was “voluntarily” surrendered to the Hayward Shelter by his owner to avoid animal neglect charges being filed. Sherman’s hair was very matted; he had a damaged rear leg that he wasn’t using; and severe dental disease. He was available for a adoption through the shelter, but after a month of no interest, Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs pulled him into foster care and addressed his medical needs (amputation of the “bum leg,” full mouth dental extractions and neutering).
Sherman has recovered from his extensive surgery and is ready for a new forever home. He does fine on 3 legs (”tri-pawed”) as he didn’t use the bad leg anyway. He is a very sweet, curious, loving little guy with lots of energy for his age. He can be a little squirmy when being held. He would do fine as an only dog (if someone was around most of the time) or with another small, friendly canine companion. He is also good with cats.
